Hugo Salinas milite pour le retour de l'argent métal comme monnaie légale au Mexique
Hugo Salinas Price tells Gold Rush 21 how to put silver in circulation in Mexico
Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:
The graphical presentation to the Gold Rush 21
conference of Hugo Salinas Price, president of
the Mexican Civic Association for Silver, has
been posted here:http://www.gata.org/The%20silver%20coin%20in%20Mexico2%20-%20HSP_files/frame.htm
Or you can use this abbreviated link:http://tinyurl.com/cgqhb
To advance through the slide show, just click
on the page numbers at the left of the screen.
While the graphics lack Salinas Price's
alternately brilliant and humorous narration,
they clearly convey his proposal to reintroduce
silver as circulating coinage in Mexico -- a
proposal that seems to have gained
substantial and perhaps even majority
support in the Mexican Congress.
Like South Africa and Russia, Mexico is a rich
country that insists on being poor -- a country
that could use its vast mineral wealth to
underwrite its currency and restore its national
sovereignty but instead submits meekly to the
imperialism of a "world reserve currency" that
is controlled not by the world but by a single
country -- the U.S. dollar.

Mr. Hugo Salinas-Price, President
Mexican Association Pro Silver
Hugo Salinas Price is president of the Mexican Civic Association Pro Silver, which for 10 years has been advocating the introduction of a monetized silver coin in parallel circulation with fiat pesos in Mexico. Legislation to that effect now is under serious consideration before the Mexican Congress. He is also honorary president and former CEO of Grupo Elektra. He is the world's leading advocate of silver's role as money.
